VCC2, also known as Nāst Hill House, is part of the Nāst Innovation Destination Torslanda area and will provide opportunities to shape the mobility of the future together through academia, research and entrepreneurship.
In total, the building will be a 31,000 m2 large innovation hub with workplaces, collaboration areas, innovation arena, gym and restaurant.

The building consists of a modular façade in three levels with varying depths and 3-dimensional shape as well as site-built undulating street-level facades. The goal of the facade has been to give it an expression where the inside is soft and warm with a lot of exposed wood while the outside is hard with hard materials such as carved stone and glass.
The project has focused heavily on sustainability, environmentally friendly materials and low climate footprints, the goal is for the building to be certified as LEED Gold.

Scope of work

Design and installation of the LS3000 Timber facades.
The 3D-shaped unitized elements have a stepped design where they extend more from the building the higher up they are. From the inside the glulam frame is exposed giving a natural and tactile feel while the exterior cladding is more hard with hand cut stone.
At ground level there is an undulating site-built glass façade that connects the different parts of the building.
